Seam Rippers

from $43.00

I am beyond excited to bring you my favorite sewing tool! Fixing mistakes and making alternations is no longer a chore, with these one of a kind seam rippers. Each is hand turned from high quality exotic or found wood, sanded to beyond smooth, and finished with turning wax to bring out the grain structure. The (replaceable) blade is reversible, stowing snugly into the handle for safe storage, and is available with durable plated chrome or gold hardware in 10 different domestic ($43-45) and exotic ($46-50) wood species.

About the Maker: All of these beautiful tools are turned on a lathe by my godmother and favorite carver, Leanna! It all started (long before she let a much younger me rollerblade in her living room), as a kid on the farm when she learned to turn from her dad, replacing a broken baseball bat. She became fascinated with carving after watching her grandfather make a toy Bowie knife out of a 2×4, and then a family friend introduced her to relief carving, and the rest is history. Leanna is also a veteran and retired metallurgical engineer now living in Seattle, Washington, where she focuses on caricature woodcarving, woodturning small items, and box making.
